Why the double standard?

Why does it seem to be a double standard when it comes to these expectations for teachers and administrators?

Countless numbers of times, throughout the years, I would walk around my classroom teaching. All of a sudden, I would hear the knob on my door turn or a key put in the lock quickly by someone trying to hurry in and seemingly try to “catch me slipping” on the job.

Teachers are constantly evaluated in every area including professionalism, positive learning environment, communication, etc., and we are expected to be exceptional regardless of the conditions we teach under and the people we teach around. If teachers are constantly scrutinized and evaluated, why aren’t administrators, who many times lack of personal skills and empathy, expected to always be at 100%, use the proper tone when talking to people, be empathetic towards teachers, and promote a positive work environment? Why does it seem to be a double standard when it comes to these expectations for teachers and administrators?
